Pierport Pony Club Clinic Series
Inviting all clubs in the Great Lakes Region to participate. All levels and ages are welcome. Parents, members, and volunteers can attend and bring this information back to their clubs. Clinics are scheduled to last around 4 hours, and will typically involve hands on practice.

Boots and Bandaging
Are you considering testing for your C, but you’re worried the wraps you have won’t make the cut? Join us as we make padding to be used for shipping bandages and stable bandages, and get tips for applying bandages, polo wraps, and boots. You’ll leave with your very own set custom fitted for your horse. $25/member to cover the cost of materials.

Foot & Shoeing and Nutrition
A certified barefoot trimmer discusses how nutrition plays a role in hoof health. Join us for this fantastic opportunity to learn about how to different micronutrients and minerals impact various systems in the equine body, how internal hoof structures work together to support the horse, and how to treat specific ailments related to the hoof. $10/person

Veterinary Knowledge
A vet will be performing routine exams including vaccinations, physicals, lameness evaluation, and blood draws. Learn why certain vaccines are recommended, how to take vital signs, and when it is appropriate to call the vet for non-routine concerns. $10/person

Horse Management
Are you an adult interested in what goes on behind the scenes at a rally? Do you want to help your club be better prepared to be successful in Horse Management at competitions? Join us for our AHMJ Clinic. You’ll learn what goes into the Assistant Horse Management Judge role and how to evaluate HM success. $5/person
For youth, we will be putting on a Stable Managers Clinic. Members will receive instruction and tips from experienced Stable Managers in the region for how to help your team exceed standards during setup and safety, turnout, required equipment, and turnback. $5/person

Certification Prep
Want help with any aspects of your upcoming certifications? Do you need help determining when you may be ready to move up the levels? Are you nervous about what to expect for your next testing? This clinic will be designed to help you prepare for a local level certification. Saturday will focus on unmounted test prep (recommend that you bring your tack). Sunday will focus on mounted test prep (bring your own horse). You can come to either one or both of the days offered. $15/day/member
Club Level Testing Opportunities
Standard test fees apply and all candidates split the examiner’s mileage. D1-C2 candidates.
